New Accounting Plan
A few days ago, the Entity "Superintendencia Nacional de Salud", based upon the
dispositions of the Resolution Nr. 00724, determined to adopt a new accounting plan
for the entities that are dedicated to the promotion of health services, the institutions
that render medical services and the entities dedicated to the management of additional
health plans and medical services consisting of ambulances according to the respective
requirements.
The mentioned entity has created an accounting catalogue, in accordance with the
accounting dispositions and practices that are accepted in Colombia and used at
the national and international levels. In order to fulfil this purpose, in each
account that ought to contain the registration of the transactions and operations
of the mentioned economic entities, a code has been defined, that identifies the
type of business, according to the activity that is carried out and the type of
entity that accomplishes the respective activity, so the business types are identified
as follows: 01 Contributive Regime, Subsidized Regime, 03 Additional Health Plans
(PAS), 04 Institutions that render Medical Services (IPS) and 05 Rendering of Services
concerning Ambulance in accordance with the Requirements; each one of the accounts
regarding the new catalogue can contain until 12 digits for its identification.
The Accounting Plan contained in this Resolution exists since the 01. of January
2009.
ILIMITADA S.A. has already undertaken the necessary modifications in its applications,
to fulfil the contents of the new disposition. Remember that its implementation
is less than two weeks away!
